NEW INITIATIVES

  • The Authority approved the proposal to grant one time ex-gratia compensation of Rs. 43.82 lakhs to the circus owners of the 41 circuses, who had surrendered their wild animals namely; lions, tigers, panthers, bears and monkeys and that were now housed in the Rescue Centres established by the CZA. 

  • The Central zoo authority has signed a MOU with Wildlife Reserve, Singapore. Under the MoU, WRS and CZA will promote and co-ordinate staff exchange programmes to share knowledge in the technical and management aspects of zoo, conservation and research matters.(Details) / (Photo)
